Whats the difference between acrylic nails or gel nails?

and whats the difference betwen having tips and that powdery stuff?Whats the difference between acrylic nails or gel nails?
hello i am a nail tech and do both gel and acylic extensions!

acrylic nails, although they last a bit longer than gel nails, are much more damaging to the nail bed. They can go yellow, but usually only if the tech has filed at the side wall and let water get in and mould :S They involve using a powder and are much harsher on your nails!

if you are to get your nails doe i would definitely reccomend using gel as it is much more gentle on your nails and they come in a wider range of colours. Also a salon that does bio sculpture is reccomended as all their gel products are natural and are designed to cause as little damage to your nails as possible.

gell involves appying layers of gel and setting them in a UV lamp. They produce chip free colour/french manicures which can last for 3 weeks

hope i helped!

OK, acrylic nails are more cheaper to get and they can turn yellow.

Gel nails are a little bit more, but they feel more natural, comfortable and it looks really natural .. what do you mean tips and that powdery stuff ? acrylic and gels, you have to get tips and the ';powdery stuff'; ..
i have my own nails painted in Gel paint...it lasts ages %26amp; looks great...acrylics are nails or just tips that are glued on professionally.
