Acrylic/Gel nail allergy reaction ? ?

Okay so, i'm allergic to this chemical (i forgot its names) but its in certain nail polish, makeup, lotion, etc.

In the beginning of summer i tried acrylic nails not knowing i'd get an reaction to it. Well 2 days after my face (around my eyes) got itchy and red and swollan - after that. Never put those on again.

Later i had gone to an allergist and they recommended me ';Gel nails'; and i tried it and i DIDNT get a reaction to it. This was also in the beginning of the summer and i lived in Vegas. I had done a pink tip my first time. and after that i got it done every 3 weeks or so.

Then i moved to CT over the summer %26amp; i got gel nails done with white tip and no reaction happened but then 2 weeks ago i got a pink tip and RIGHT AWAY that night my face got a reaction and it was terrible.

I dont know what happen. Gel nails never went wrong for me?

But now it has? Maybe it was the pink nail polish?

Or have salons added a new ingredient to gel powder?

Anyone know ? /:

Also what are solar nails?

Thank you.Acrylic/Gel nail allergy reaction ? ?
Solar nails are a light-cured gel nail. It's like an ultraviolet light that hardens the gel. The UV light combined with the chemicals can cause a deep blistering which will peel off the skin all around the nail in people who are sensitive. (I am one of them)

You might try silk nails, get a silk overlay on your own nails and let them grow out, they look much more natural. And the silk %26amp; glue can be hypoallergenic, if you ask the nail tech to use hypoallergenic.Acrylic/Gel nail allergy reaction ? ?
It could be a different gel powder that the salon is using, maybe a different brand? Different salons use different brands of things like gel powder so it's quite possible. I wouldn't think the polish would cause that to happen.

Solar nails are usually pink and white nails. They're stronger than acrylic nails, they don't yellow, and they last longer since you don't need to have them done as often. They cost more than acrylic nails but are worth it.
it could be the stuff that they dip the brush in and then dip it in the powder its some chemical that can be it im to sure but your better off getting manicures or a silk wrap
It sounds like it is the pink polish. Remove the polish with a non-acetone polish remover asap if you haven't already.

Solar nails are just a type of gel nail. These gel nails have to be held under the UV lamp to process and harden.
