CND Scrub Fresh between Gel Nail applications?

I am trying to do my own gel nails with Young Nails Mani-Q gel. I asked the wholesaler what to use to wipe off the sticky residue after the nails have been in the lamp and they sold me CND Scrub Fresh which is a nail sanitiser. It seems to be taking some of the gel off. So I checked the ingredients and it has acetone and alcohol in it. So I am wondering if maybe they sold me the wrong product?
