Whats the difference between Acrylic Nails And Gel Nails ? ?

Im on a beauty therapy website and i want to no whats the difference between acrylic nails and Gel nails and what would be better for short nails for me to get?Whats the difference between Acrylic Nails And Gel Nails ? ?
not much it all depends what u do for work?

gel r better for your nails but r not good if you use your hands allot, they will fall of easy. Acrylics r allot stronger but not good if you only have them on for short time if your going somewhere your best to get gel but if you want them for a long time your best to have acrylic.

Allot of people say that this chemicals will reck your nails that would be true if you take them of and get them back on all the time. Your nails are made of dead cells called keratin its also found in your skin and hair. So my question to anyone out their is how can kill something all ready dead?

if these chemicals were applied to your skin that could damage your skin for sure as your skin is pores it can sip through.

Be careful by what you chose to what suits you, and make sure you know your products Eg acrylic is a powder and liquid mixet together Gel is only a liquid its never a powder so if you get gel and the nail tech uses a powder and liquid that's not gel its acrylic it never never comes in powder, well im yet to see this product, but how they disguise it as gel the last application they use a gel overlay and use the uv to cure it, but that is not gel its acrylic with gel overlay and why they do this is because they charge more for gel so make sure they know what they r talking about firstor make them show you the product which will clearly state what that product is. hope i helped.Whats the difference between Acrylic Nails And Gel Nails ? ?
they are both good, but if you do a lot of cleaning or your hands are in water alot, I would suggest you get acrylic.

I have had both, and I am a hairdresser, the gel peeled off from my hands constantly in the water, but the acrylic is more damaging to your nail bed, as they file away the top layer..

Good luck
Both are basically the same. Acrylics are made of Monomer and Powder, and are taken off by Acetone....For Gels, They're made similar to Acrylics, But to harden them, Their are two ways, Light cured, which the nail harden when set under a special light source, like Ultraviolet, and to get those off, You'll have to buff layer, by layer...and then the No light Gels hardens when a activator or accelertor is sprayed or brushed on, or when they are soaked in water.
Acrylics are ok but they make a mess of your natural nail as they're stuck on with super glue.

Gels on the other hand (no pun intended) let your nail breathe underneath, are very hardwearing, don't chip or crack like nail polish, and last for weeks. Try CalGel at a salon.
They are both the same. I just got mine gel and there the same **** as acrylic except my gel were 45$ and my acrylic are usually 25$ Im pissed off.
